Level 1 recovery housing provides a peer-supported, alcohol- and drug-free environment with minimal supervision. This means there is no curfew or mandatory morning meetings, and visitors are allowed, though overnight stays are not permitted. Residents are typically responsible for recovery management, and participation in formal treatment is not required.
