On October 10th, Hope Town Ohio was honored to host individuals from Leadership Portage County at our new facility in Windham, Ohio. This visit provided an exciting opportunity to share our mission and highlight how we support individuals in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Leadership Portage County’s Mission for Community Growth
Leadership Portage County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to developing leaders who enhance the county’s economic, business, governmental, educational, and civic sectors. Their visit allowed them to explore our new facility, which aligns with their mission to encourage community involvement and foster leadership.
A Tour of Hope Town Ohio’s New Headquarters
Our 8,600-square-foot facility, formerly a fire station and medical clinic, is now a hub for recovery and employment services. The tour showcased our comprehensive peer support services, employment training, and transportation to care offerings.
The highlight of the visit was our Hope on Wheels Private Auto Clinic and Training Institute, where individuals in stable recovery gain hands-on mechanic training and employment. This program equips participants with job skills and strengthens the local economy by providing workforce readiness.
Words from Our Program Director
“We were so happy to host Leadership Portage County and show them firsthand how recovery and employment can go hand-in-hand to build stronger individuals and communities,” said Adam Ciganik, Hope Town Ohio’s Program Director.
We are grateful for their visit and excited to continue working with local leaders to further our mission of empowering individuals in recovery.
