Hope Town recently had the honor of welcoming key leaders from the OneOhio Recovery Foundation, a vital organization working to support and strengthen recovery initiatives across the state.

A Day of Collaboration and Progress

We were privileged to host:

  • Alisha Nelson – Director of OneOhio Foundation
  • Sarah Anstine – Director of Partnership & Outreach for OneOhio Foundation
  • Erin Helms – Representing the Woodrowe Project & On the Road of Recovery
  • Sabrina Christian-Bennett – Portage County Commissioner

During their time at Hope Town, these influential leaders engaged in meaningful conversations about the future of addiction recovery efforts in Ohio. Together, we explored new opportunities to expand access to recovery services, remove systemic barriers, and create sustainable solutions that empower individuals on their journey to wellness.

Why This Visit Matters

The OneOhio Recovery Foundation plays a critical role in ensuring that opioid settlement funds are distributed effectively to programs and initiatives that make a real difference in Ohio communities. Their support is instrumental in funding services that provide long-term recovery solutions, and their visit to Hope Town demonstrates a commitment to investing in programs that prioritize holistic, person-centered care.

At Hope Town, we recognize that addiction recovery is not just about treatment but about creating a strong, supportive environment that fosters growth, stability, and opportunity. This visit affirmed that our vision aligns with broader statewide efforts to transform the way recovery support is structured, ensuring that individuals receive the help they need at every stage of their journey.

A Shared Commitment to Building a Stronger Recovery Community

The discussions throughout the day highlighted the importance of collaboration between recovery organizations, policymakers, and community leaders. By working together, we can build a more inclusive and effective recovery ecosystem—one that not only provides immediate support but also empowers individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

This gathering was more than a simple discussion—it was a dynamic conversation about the future of recovery in Ohio, expanding access to services, breaking down barriers, reducing friction and administrative burden, and creating sustainable recovery solutions.

Looking Ahead

This is just the beginning of an ongoing partnership aimed at expanding recovery support, advocating for policy changes, and ensuring that funding is directed toward impactful, evidence-based solutions. Hope Town remains committed to being a leader in this space, continuously innovating and providing comprehensive support for individuals seeking a fresh start.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Alisha Nelson, Sarah Anstine, Erin Helms, and Sabrina Christian-Bennett for visiting Hope Town, engaging in these important discussions, and recognizing the work we are doing. Their leadership and commitment to Ohio’s recovery movement are truly inspiring, and we look forward to continued collaboration as we work toward a brighter, more hopeful future for all those affected by addiction.
