This Giving Season, we’re thrilled to share an incredible opportunity to transform lives: the completion of Hope Town Ohio’s new recovery community center. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Eric McClelland, an Ohio native who grew up in Garrettsville and has always wanted to give back to his community, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000!
“I’ve seen firsthand how recovery can change lives, and I’m honored to support a project that will bring hope and healing to so many,” Eric shared.
Together, we’re not just constructing a building—we’re creating a haven of hope, connection, and community. Join us in making an even greater impact this Giving Season.
Our vision is bold yet deeply rooted in the needs of our recovery community. Here’s what your support will make possible:
A Space for Healing and Connection
- A large meeting space for planning and organizing recovery initiatives.
- Gathering Areas dedicated to fostering sober social connections and meaningful conversations.
- A fully-equipped kitchen where we can prepare and share meals—a powerful way to build community.
- An inviting outdoor patio for sober social activities and reflective moments in the fresh air.
- Space for sober social events, workshops, and activities that celebrate the joy and creativity recovery brings.
- Multipurpose space to be used for classroom and boardroom activities.
Why This Matters
Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation—it thrives in connection. Our new facility will be a safe and welcoming space for people in all stages of recovery to gather, learn, and support one another. It will also serve as a hub for engaging the wider community in recovery-focused activities and breaking down the stigma surrounding substance use disorders.
How You Can Help

- Help create a thriving environment where individuals can find recovery support, connection, and joy.
- Leave a lasting impact on countless lives as they rebuild and grow in their journey to sobriety.
This Giving Tuesday, let’s build hope together.

About Our New Building
Hope Town Ohio’s new headquarters in the Village of Windham represents an exciting new chapter for our organization and the recovery community we serve. The 8,600-square-foot facility, originally a fire station and police department, has been transformed into a dynamic space supporting innovative recovery and employment services.
Key features of the building include:
- Extensive office space for administrative and peer support staff.
- We have six garage bays for our Hope on Wheels Private Auto Clinic and Training Institute, which offers automotive repair services, mechanic training, and employment opportunities for individuals in stable, long-term recovery.
- Dedicated areas to provide peer support services, employment training, and transportation assistance for those in recovery.
This facility will also serve as a welcoming hub for recovery-focused activities, including sober social events, community gatherings, and skills training programs. With your support, we can fully equip and complete the build-out of this vital resource, creating a transformative space where individuals and families can rebuild their lives in recovery.
Your generosity makes this vision possible—join us in building hope for tomorrow!
